D.B. Basavaraju, Chief Executive Officer of the Kannada people’s newspaper Udayakale, has been conferred with the prestigious Pride of Karnataka Award by the Bangalore Press Club.
At a colorful ceremony held at the Bangalore Press Club premises, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar presented the Pride of Karnataka award to D.B. Basavaraju and congratulated him.
Having rendered 26 years of dedicated service in the Kannada journalism field, Udayakale CEO D.B. Basavaraju experienced a deep sense of fulfillment and gratitude upon receiving this prestigious honor.
Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly U.T. Khader, Ministers Madhu Bangarappa and Rahim Khan, Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) Chairman N.A. Harris, Bangalore Press Club General Secretary Shivakumar Bellittatte, along with other office-bearers of the club, senior journalists, and distinguished guests, were present to witness D.B. Basavaraju receiving the award.
D.B. Basavaraju has efficiently served in responsible positions in reputed newspapers such as Vijay Karnataka, Kannada Prabha, and Vishwavani. He has also earned the appreciation of the leadership of Asia Net Kannada, The Times of India, and the VRL Group.
