2026 T20 World Cup Ticket Sales Begin with Prices Starting at ₹100

Mumbai

Ticket sales for the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup officially opened, with Phase 1 offering entry prices as low as ₹100 in India and LKR 1,000 in Sri Lanka, marking one of the most affordable major ICC events to date. The tournament, to be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8, will feature 20 teams competing across eight venues.

In India, matches will be staged in Ahmedabad, Chennai, New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata, while Sri Lanka will host games at two venues in Colombo and in Kandy. The ICC confirmed that defending champions India will face the USA on the opening day, one of three fixtures that will launch the 10th edition of the global T20 showpiece.

ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta said that affordability and access were at the heart of the ticketing strategy. “Our aim is to deliver the most accessible and global ICC event ever. Every fan, regardless of geography or financial background, should have the chance to experience world-class cricket from the stands,” he said. Gupta added that low starting prices are meant to “open the gates wide” and ensure fans can actively participate in the excitement of stadium cricket.

The tournament will feature 55 matches, making it the most expansive T20 World Cup in history.

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said the pricing structure would help create “stadiums buzzing with energy,” while Sri Lanka Cricket CEO Ashley de Silva urged fans to book early to avoid missing out on key matches.

The ICC has made tickets available through its official platform, with further phases of sales to be announced in due course.
