President Droupadi Murmu will visit Malavalli on December 17 to inaugurate the 1066th Jayanti celebrations of Suttur Shivaratri Shivayogi

The town of Malavalli in Mandya district is preparing for the grand 1066th Jayanti celebration of Suttur Shivaratri Shivayogi, which will be inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu on December 17. Ahead of the event, senior officials including Mysuru South Zone IGP Boralingaiah and District Commissioner Dr. Kumar visited various sites to review ongoing arrangements such as the helipad, stage, and public facilities.
At the helipad site near Marehalli on the outskirts of the town, officials inspected the construction of the green room, removal of electric poles, ground levelling, and the route planned for the President’s arrival. They also discussed the installation of essential amenities. The team then visited the travellers’ bungalow and taluk hospital, instructing the medical staff to ensure round-the-clock availability and preparedness for emergency treatment. DC Dr. Sanjay and Taluk Health Officer Dr. Veerabhadrapppa were directed to make all necessary arrangements.
Since the Jayanti celebrations will run from December 17 to 22 and will be attended by the President, Chief Minister, and several state ministers, officials reviewed crowd-management plans, public vehicle parking, accommodation arrangements in lodges, choultries, and resorts, and the removal of flex banners to avoid traffic disruption. Police authorities were advised to maintain strict law and order and ensure adequate security deployment.
At the main event venue, authorities examined the stage layout, entry gate for dignitaries, parking zones, food distribution areas, and drinking water facilities, ensuring that all basic infrastructure is in place for the smooth conduct of the celebration.
