Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) new Delhi office on Monday, located at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg, describing the capital as a “mini India” that represents the country’s diverse culture and traditions. Addressing party workers, he urged them to celebrate festivals from all regions of India, reinforcing the city’s cosmopolitan identity.

The state-of-the-art facility features advanced communication systems, meeting halls, and spaces for organising party programmes, and will serve as a central hub for BJP’s work and outreach in the national capital. The office, funded through party donations, reflects BJP’s emphasis on public service, said Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who performed a havan earlier in the day. BJP president and Union Minister JP Nadda, along with several senior leaders including Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ashish Sood, Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma, Harsh Malhotra, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Yogender Chandolia, and Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, were also present.

PM Modi recalled the party’s deep roots in Delhi dating back to the Jana Sangh era and highlighted its enduring commitment to the city. Speaking on economic reforms, he emphasized reducing dependence on foreign goods to strengthen the nation and highlighted upcoming GST reforms, which he said could help families save nearly Rs 20,000 annually on essential household expenses. Leaders described the new office as a space to inspire party workers and strengthen connections with citizens, symbolizing BJP’s renewed mandate in Delhi following its February return to power after a 27-year gap.
