India Post has honored Kantara: Chapter 1 ahead of its October 2 release by launching a Special Cover and two Picture Postcards. These collectibles celebrate Karnataka’s vibrant Bootha Kola ritual, which was also central to the first Kantara film. The official India Post page shared photos of director Rishab Shetty and producer Vijay Kiragandur receiving the cover and postcards. Their post described Bootha Kola as a colorful tradition where faith, folklore, and culture come together, and noted that the release highlights Karnataka’s heritage that gained global recognition through Kantara.
Issued by the Karnataka Postal Circle in association with Hombale Films, the release pays tribute to stories and traditions that continue to inspire generations. The gesture has further raised excitement for the upcoming film, which promises to explore a wider cinematic universe.
At a recent press meet, director Rishab Shetty opened up about the intense effort behind the project. He admitted feeling drained after months of post-production work but also expressed relief on completing it. Usually, I am strong and composed, but this time I found it difficult to put my feelings into words, he said. With humility, he added that he never worries about results, but always looks forward to seeing how audiences respond.
The trailer of Kantara: Chapter 1 has already generated strong buzz, with actor Jayaram joining the cast in a crucial role. As the release date nears, expectations are running high for this highly awaited sequel.
