Free rural health camp in Ramanagara offers specialized gastric check-ups, awareness.

Aiming to provide healthcare support to rural residents, the Bangalore Gastro Centre is organizing a free health camp with super-specialist consultations, Director Dr. Yoganand informed on Tuesday.
Speaking at a press conference held at Shantiniketan Educational Institute in the city, he said the camp, scheduled for Thursday, September 25, will focus on raising awareness about gastric issues among villagers. He urged rural residents to take full advantage of this initiative.
The camp will feature endoscopy tests conducted via a mobile unit, marking the first time such a facility is being offered in a mobile format in the state. The camp will also provide gastrointestinal examinations, hepatitis testing, liver disease screening, hernia and piles evaluation, and assessments for children’s digestive problems. The camp will be inaugurated by Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao and attended by dignitaries including District In-Charge Minister Ramalingareddy, MP Dr. C.N. Manjunath, and MLA Iqbal Hussen.
Soumya Kumaraswamy, President of the Ramanagara Rotary Club, emphasized that the camp will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday and urged villagers to benefit from the services offered. Doctors from the Gastro Centre, including Dr. Shailaja, and Shantiniketan Educational Institute representatives were also present at the press meet.
