Blake Lively is celebrating 18 years since the premiere of Gossip Girl, the hit teen drama that made her a household name. On Instagram, the actress shared rare behind-the-scenes photos featuring co-stars Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Michelle Trachtenberg, Ed Westwick, and Chace Crawford.
“The summer Gossip Girl turned 18… This show was my college,” Blake wrote. She described the experience as her education and her life for six years, calling New York City and Silvercup Studios her campus. Fans flooded the comments with love and nostalgia, remembering the show’s cultural impact.
Gossip Girl aired from 2007 to 2012, running for 121 episodes. It followed the dramatic lives of wealthy New York teens whose secrets were constantly exposed by a mysterious blogger. The cast also included Kelly Rutherford, Matthew Settle, and Jessica Szohr.
On the work front, Lively will star in The Survival List, an action-romantic comedy and her first theatrical project after a legal dispute with director Justin Baldoni.
