‘Anjanadri Hill Development Works Should Finish by Dec’

Deputy Commisioner Suresh B Itnal instructed the officials to complete the development works of Anjanadri Hill by the end of November and facilitate the devotees visiting the temple.

He visited the site of various development works at Anjanadri Hills in Gangavathi taluk and inspected them, and later participated in a progress review meeting organized by the Tourism Department.

Emphasizing the back roads connecting Anjanadri, he said that the tourist temple under progress near Anjanadri Hill should be completed by December during Hanumamala.

He instructed the concerned officials to immediately call for tenders and implement the necessary works for the dormitory blocks, such as electricity connection, drinking water, septic tank, borewell, and pathway.

“Preparations should be made to obtain a no-objection letter from the Forest Department for the land required for the circumambulation path and theme-based stairs,” he said. 

MLA G Janardhana Reddy said, “The various works of Anjanadri development such as the design and construction of the circumambulation path and stairs should be completed as soon as possible. A permanent Prasad Nilayam should be provided to the devotees. The DPR for the Anjanadri Hill ropeway work has been prepared and is in the tender stage. The authorities should implement it.”

Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Varnit Negi said that the construction of the rest houses and shopping complex for devotees to stay at Anjanadri is in the final stages. He said that other works will be completed in a phased manner.

Sub-Divisional Officer Captain Mahesh Malagitti, Hampi World Heritage Area Management Authority Commissioner Ramesh, DySP Siddalingappa Gowda Patil, Archaeology and Heritage Museum Department Assistant Director Manjunath Naik, Tahsildar U Nagaraj, Huligemma Devi Area Development Authority Secretary MH Prakash Rao, Sristhi Architect Head Sripad and officials were present.
