Senior engineers participate in GBA civic programme

A civic programme held under the banner of the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) witnessed the active participation of senior engineers and officials from the Bengaluru South City Corporation. The event underscored the collective commitment of the engineering community to strengthen urban governance and civic infrastructure across the city.

The programme was led by Chief Engineer of Bengaluru South City Corporation, Basavaraj Kabade, whose leadership in urban development initiatives has been widely acknowledged. He was joined by Executive Engineer (EE) Srinivas, Assistant Executive Engineers (AEE) Yatish and Kotresh, and Assistant Engineer (AE) Dayanand, all of whom contributed to the discussions and initiatives outlined during the event.

The presence of this team of senior officials reflected the emphasis placed on technical expertise in ensuring effective implementation of projects at the ground level. With Bengaluru facing rapid urban expansion, the role of engineers in balancing growth with sustainable practices was highlighted as a key priority.

Officials present reiterated their commitment to streamlining civic works, particularly in areas such as road maintenance, drainage management, and waste clearance, while also ensuring community participation. They stressed the importance of accountability and regular monitoring to achieve visible improvements in public services.

The event also served as a platform for recognizing the challenges faced by civic engineers and reaffirming institutional support for their initiatives. By bringing together senior engineers and field-level officers, the programme showcased GBA’s vision of building an efficient, responsive, and people-centric civic administration for Bengaluru’s future.
