Bengaluru North City Commissioner Pommala Sunil Kumar, accompanied by the joint commissioner, conducted a thorough inspection of multiple civic facilities and key operational points across the city to ensure efficiency, cleanliness, and public safety.
The inspection began at Ward No. 18, Radha Krishna Temple Ward, where the Commissioner reviewed civic amenities and the overall cleanliness of the area. Officials noted that regular maintenance and monitoring are crucial to sustaining hygiene standards and providing citizen-friendly services.
At the inundation point in Hebbal, the Commissioner issued directions to ensure smooth water flow and to implement preventive measures for flooding, highlighting the importance of preparedness during the monsoon season. The team also visited the Indira Canteen to assess food distribution processes, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
Further inspections included parks and storm drains, where officials were instructed to strengthen maintenance routines and ensure readiness for monsoon-related challenges. At the mustering point, the Commissioner monitored attendance and welfare of pourakarmikas, emphasizing staff accountability and support for frontline workers.
