Labour Minister Santosh Lad has emphasized that a well-equipped library will greatly benefit students and readers, urging contractors to ensure quality construction and finish the project within the stipulated timeframe.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the new library near Kalaghatagi town’s Yuva Shakti Circle, the minister highlighted the importance of timely completion and adherence to standards. The library, estimated at a cost of ₹2.20 crore, is being developed under the Town Panchayat Urban Upgradation Project.
Town Panchayat President Shilpa Palkar, Vice-President Gangadhar Gowli, Chief Officer B. Chandrashekar, members Shakuntala Bolar and Kalmesh Benny, Block Congress President Manjunath Murali, Sudhir Bolar, Balu Khanapura, Project Director Aziz Desai, Executive Engineer G.N. Gonal, and Junior Engineer Akkamahadevi Thadasa were present during the ceremony.
The upcoming facility aims to provide a modern learning space for the community, fostering a reading culture and supporting academic growth for the region’s students and knowledge seekers.
