Deputy Commissioner Mohammed Roshan installed an eco-friendly Ganesh idol at his office on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, marking the celebration with a message of sustainability and devotion.
Earlier in the day, DC Roshan offered prayers at the Shri Ganesh Temple located at Rani Chennamma Circle. Accompanied by officials and staff, the eco-friendly idol was later carried in a small procession to the Deputy Commissioner’s office, where it was ceremoniously installed.
On the occasion, the DC prayed to Lord Vighnavinashaka for peace, harmony, and prosperity in the district. His gesture of combining tradition with environmental awareness drew appreciation from many.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Vijaykumar Honakeri, along with his family members, office staff, and senior officials, participated in the event. The DC’s initiative has been widely welcomed as a thoughtful step encouraging the use of eco-friendly idols during festive celebrations.
