Minister for Forests, Biology and Environment Ishwara Khandre has said that he will work hard to provide an efficient, honest, scandal-free and transparent administration as per the expectations of the people of the state.
Speaking after performing the pooja of his official office at Vikasa Soudha, he said that there is an article on the Vidhana Soudha building that says Government’s work is God’s work. Accordingly, he said that he will do the work of the department in a pro-people and people-friendly manner as if it were God’s work.
Today there are many challenges in the Forest and Environment Department. He said that he will work hard to overcome all these challenges and make significant changes in the department.
There is a great challenge before the planet today. The problem of plastic is acute. Drinking water, breathing air is getting polluted. In this regard, it has been decided to make five major cities of the state plastic free. In addition to this, a resolution has been made to plant and nurture 5 crore saplings this year on behalf of the Forest Department and with the help of the public, he said.
