The whole country expressed grief at the death of Karnataka Ratna Power star Puneeth Rajkumar. The Mysuru University has honoured him with a honorary doctorate considering his talent and social service. His last film “James” is being exhibited everywhere. So many families are viewing the film. By not able to digest the success of the film, some BJP activists are indulging in removal of the film from theatres. Condemning this attitude of BJP activists, prortest was held on Wednesday at Ramaswamy circle under the leadership of former MLA MK Somashekar. The Protestants shouted slogans against the conspiracy.
Block congress presidents G Somashekar, Sridhar, KPCC Members Veena, Srinath Babu, Block president Vidya, fans of Shivarajkumar Fans association district president Ravichandra, Girish, leaders Vijay Kumar, Harish Naidu, J Vinay Kumar, Dairy Venkatesh, Gunashekar, MKP Naveen, Irfan, Farooq, Shadiqulla Rehman, Naseer, Suresh, Abishek Shivanna and thers participated.
Speaking on the occasion, former MLA MK Somashekar said that supreme actor of Raj family Puneeth Rajkumar died only a few months back. The agony from the fans is not yet faded. At this juncture, the BJP is disgraceful acts, which is condemnable. Even today masses are visiting to view his memorial. Several fans from neighbouring states have also expressed condolence for his death. The Tamil Nadu assembly in its session has appreciated the humanitarian works of Puneeth Rajkumar. The BJP government is not having least knowledge as to honouring his social services. The fans, along with many families are emotionally viewing his last film “James” at various theatres and has achieved a great success. By unable to tolerate the success, some BJP activists are conspiring to remove the film which shows their deteriorated thinking and dishonour the artist. This protest has been taken up to condemn the attitude. BJP government itself had given Karnataka Ratna and must not dishonour him like this. The government must give tax exemption for the film. If the activists do not stop their attempts, protests will be arranged throughout the state, he said.
