KARWAR
Children aged five to 18 who have achieved outstanding success in innovation, logical skills, sports, arts, culture or music can apply for the Hoysala and Keladi Chennamma Awards for 2026-27.
Selected children will receive a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 and a certificate in recognition of their achievements. Applicants must provide documents proving their exceptional talent, including newspaper reports, certificates and details of awards won at district, state or national levels. They must also submit a self-declaration confirming at least five years of residence in Karnataka.
A notarised age certificate is also required. Children who received a district-level award during the previous year will not be eligible for another award.
Application forms can be collected from Child Development Project Officers or Field Education Officers in respective taluks. Forms are also available from the Deputy Director of the Women and Child Development Department in Karwar.
Completed applications must reach the Deputy Director by October 30. Late applications will not be considered under any circumstances.
