A case has been registered at the Kadaba police station against five people on charges of verbally abusing, assaulting and threatening to kill a minor boy belonging to a Scheduled Tribe and his classmates who had gone to Kundada Falls.
The incident is said to have taken place on the morning of August 3 when the minor boy was playing with his four classmates at Kundadka Falls in Kadaba. The complaint states that the accused Rohit, Deviprasad, Chandan, Umesh and the father of a student who had come to the spot with the students had also arrived there.
The complaint alleges that the accused, together, abused the minor boy belonging to a Scheduled Caste with abusive language. They then assaulted the boy and two other classmates who were with him and threatened his life.
A complaint regarding the incident was filed on behalf of the boy at Kadaba Police Station on August 11. Based on the complaint, a case has been registered at Kadaba Police Station under sections 189(2), 190, 351(3), 352 and 115(2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), 2023 and sections 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s), 3(2)(va) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Kadaba police are continuing their investigation into the case. They are gathering information about the location of the incident, the allegations, and the circumstances of the attack, and are continuing their investigation.
