The Karnataka government has appointed Dr. Sharanaprakash Patil, Minister for Medical Education and Skill Development, as the minister in charge of natural disaster management for Raichur and Koppal districts. With the southwest monsoon underway, he will oversee disaster preparedness, emergency response, coordination between departments, and relief operations until further orders. The government said the move aims to ensure quick action, effective precautionary measures, and smooth rehabilitation during natural calamities.
