A consultation meeting on Basavadi Sharana Lingayat Dharma will be held on June 28 at 10 a.m. at Basava Mahamane, Basava Dharma Peetha in Basavakalyan. Organised by the National Basava Dal and other pro-Basava groups, the meeting will discuss the movement for recognition of Lingayat Dharma as a separate religion and ways to spread Basavanna’s teachings across Karnataka. Religious leaders, seers, mutt heads and devotees are expected to attend. Organisers have invited the public to participate.
