The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has extended the deadline for submitting comments on its vehicle-to-everything (V2X) consultation paper to June 4, 2026, while counter-comments can be filed until June 18. The consultation paper was issued on April 30, and the extension follows requests from stakeholders seeking additional time. V2X technology enables communication between vehicles, infrastructure, pedestrians, and networks to improve road safety and traffic efficiency. India recorded a 25 per cent rise in connected car sales in 2024, according to Counterpoint Research, highlighting growing demand for smart mobility and connected vehicle technologies.
