Kranti Sena and Savita Samaj leaders expressed gratitude to Sri Math and the district administration for their response during the Tontadarya Mutt fair accident in Gadag. They said more than 18 devotees were injured and received timely medical care due to quick action by officials and doctors. Kranti Sena president Babu Bakale and Savita Samaj district president Krishna H Hadapada said Dr Siddarama Shri immediately responded and supported treatment efforts. They also thanked the district collector and hospital doctors for ensuring better care under guidance of the mutt authorities.
However they demanded immediate compensation for affected families saying most belong to poor backgrounds and need financial support. They urged Rs 10 lakh compensation from the mutt and Rs 5 lakh from district administration for victims. They said immediate action should be taken without delay on humanitarian grounds to help injured families recover. The leaders said the incident highlights the need for stronger safety arrangements during large religious fairs and better emergency planning in future events across the district. We appeal to authorities to act quickly and ensure justice and relief reaches affected families without further delay. Leaders reiterated that coordinated efforts by the mutt administration, district officials, and government departments are essential to support victims, strengthen public confidence, and prevent such incidents in the future through proper planning, timely response, and humanitarian assistance during mass gatherings in the region.
