New Delhi
The government is set to hold a national workshop in Delhi today (Monday) to improve the redressal of public grievances, reinforcing its commitment to responsive governance and better citizen services. The workshop will focus on enhancing grievance mechanisms to ensure faster, more efficient solutions for the public.
Organized by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), the workshop follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a timely and meaningful resolution of public complaints. The Prime Minister has directed that all government ministries and departments continuously work to improve their grievance redress systems.
Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, will deliver the keynote address and launch important initiatives, including the Grievance Redressal Assessment and Index (GRAI) 2023, along with the CPGRAMS Mobile App 2.0, designed to enhance the grievance management process.
The workshop will feature five sessions and 22 presentations by senior officials from various ministries and departments. A key focus will be on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics in improving the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS), which aims to streamline grievance handling with intelligent solutions.
Around 500 officials from central ministries, departments, and state governments are expected to attend, creating a platform for collaboration and discussion on how to better address public concerns.
Last month, PM Modi had urged officials to act swiftly on public grievances, avoiding delays and unnecessary paperwork.
