Revanth Reddy, the CM of Telangana, requested on Thursday that K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), apologize for orchestrating the defection of lawmakers while he was in office.
Revanth Reddy asserted that KCR initiated the defections and purchased 61 MLAs and MLCs, saying that KCR had no moral authority to discuss them.
The CM, speaking at a press conference in Delhi, insisted that the leader of the BRS visit the Telangana Martyrs’ Memorial and offer an apology for inciting defections.
In response to a query regarding the BRS’s disapproval of its five MLAs’ defection to the Congress, Revanth Reddy answered.
The CM brought up the predictions made by BRS leaders Harish Rao and KT Rama Rao that the Congress government will fall in a hundred days. He claimed that similar remarks had been made by BJP leaders as well.
Even after BRS came up empty in the most recent Lok Sabha elections, the Congress leader said that KCR’s eyes have not opened.
He indicated that BRS’s vote share had dropped to 16%.
He restated that KCR assisted BJP in defeating the Congress party by securing seats in the Lok Sabha.
Revanth Reddy observed that KCR has just opened the doors of his farmhouse, despite not even permitting his MLAs to approach him prior to this. He chastised the former CM for turning down the invitation to join in the festivities on State Formation Day.
