Traffic Restrictions Implemented Ahead Of Bakrid

In preparation for Bakrid celebrations on Monday, Bengaluru traffic police have enforced traffic restrictions along Bannerghatta Road and Mysuru Road. The measures aim to manage expected prayer congregations and ensure smooth traffic flow across these areas.

On Bannerghatta Road, all vehicle movement is currently restricted from Sagar Hospital junction to Gurappanapalya Junction, GD Mara Junction to Gurappanapalya Junction, and Reddy Hospital Junction to Gurappanapalya Junction. As an alternative route, vehicles can detour via Swagath Junction, East End Junction, and 28th Main Road Junction to reach Delmia Junction and GD Mara Junction. Alternatively, they can opt for a route via Delmia Junction, East End Junction, Sagar Hospital Junction, and rejoin the main road.

Meanwhile, on Mysuru Road, significant gatherings are anticipated at BB Junction and the BBMP playground. Consequently, traffic restrictions are in effect from 6 am onwards until the culmination of prayers. Vehicle movement is restricted from Mysuru Road Tollgate Junction to BB Junction, on the flyover up to Town Hall Junction, and from Town Hall to Mysuru Road on BGS Flyover. Commuters from Basavanagudi and Chamarajpet are advised to utilize alternative routes via Sirsi Circle, Goods Shed Road, or Magadi Road to reach Majestic or Mysuru Road respectively, ensuring minimal disruption during this period.

The traffic measures are implemented to facilitate safe and orderly festivities during Bakrid, with Bengaluru traffic police urging commuters to plan their routes accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
