The 70th Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated with pride and cultural fervour at the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) Central Office today. The event witnessed the participation of officers, staff, and passengers, marking the day with a spirit of unity and respect for Karnataka’s glorious history and language.
On this special occasion, Managing Director Akram Pasha extended heartfelt greetings to all officers, employees, and commuters of KSRTC. Speaking at the event, he highlighted the deep sense of pride among KSRTC’s drivers and staff, who celebrate Kannada Rajyotsava with great joy every year.
Recalling the state’s historical journey, Pasha explained how Mysore State evolved into present-day Karnataka, thanks to the efforts of visionary leaders and Kannada stalwarts such as Aluru Venkata Rao, Kuvempu, and Ananthakrishna Rao (Anakru).
He emphasized that every Kannadiga must take a pledge to honour, preserve, and promote the Kannada language, and to inspire others to learn and speak it with pride. Let us take pride in our language, art, culture, and soil, and work together to uphold Karnataka’s rich legacy, he urged.
