Forest-Themed Polling Booth Set Up In Kanakapur To Raise Voter Engagement

Must read

To captivate voters during the second phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, authorities have established a unique polling booth with a forest theme at the Kanakapur polling station, in collaboration with the forest department on Friday.

Dubbed ‘Adavi’, which translates to ‘forest’, this innovative initiative by the Kanakapura Forest Department aims to bolster voter participation in the ongoing Save Green Campaign and foster awareness regarding forest conservation.

Situated at the GTTC polling booth number-79 in Kanakapura, the ‘Adavi’ booth offers voters an immersive experience amidst verdant surroundings. The conventional polling station has undergone a remarkable transformation, now resembling a tranquil forest scape adorned with indigenous flora and thematic embellishments.

Mahadeva Swamy, the Commissioner of Kanakapura Corporation, echoed the urgency of addressing climate change and the imperative to raise awareness about forest preservation and water management. He underscored the distribution of saplings to voters as a pivotal component of the campaign to instill consciousness regarding forest and water conservation.
