A man died after he was hit by a pickup vehicle while standing behind it. The deceased is identified as Rukma Mugera. According to the Police, the incident occurred when Upendra, his father Rukma Mugera, and brother Nagesh were returning after loading fertilizer into the vehicle.
When the vehicle halted near Tamblaje in Shibaje village, the trio alighted and stood beside it. The driver, Jayesh, allegedly reversed the vehicle unknowingly, hitting Rukma Mugera. He suffered severe injuries and despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, succumbed to his injuries. Belthangady Traffic Police have registered a case.
