Rajinikanth to change the director for ‘Thalaivar 169’?

Rajinikanth has announced his next film with director Nelson Dilipkumar, and the film was officially launched months back. Now, the latest rumor doing the rounds on the internet is that Rajinikanth has decided to change the director for the film. Nelson’s third directorial ‘Beast’ starring Vijay had released last week, and the film is doing well at the box office despite negative reviews. Rajinikanth has reportedly watched ‘Beast’ in a special screening arranged by ‘Thalaivar 169’ makers and the superstar Rajinikanth is reportedly not very much impressed with the film. Therefore he has now decided to find a replacement for Nelson to direct his next.
But the actor hasn’t said anything about ‘Beast’ or written on his social media pages till now. Meanwhile, some fans hope to hear the report to be false, while a few wish for a replacement. However, a source from the actor’s side has confirmed Nelson Dilipkumar’s involvement in ‘Thalaivar 169’, and also affirmed that the director is currently discussing the script for the film with Superstar.
Nelson Dilipkumar started his career well with two dark comedy thrillers ‘Kolamavu Kokila’ and ‘Doctor’ and gained huge attention in a quick time. But the director’s third is comparatively little lower than his previous when it comes to the directorial part. The talented director is expected to strike strong with ‘Thalaivar 169’.
Rajinikanth was last seen in ‘Annaatthe’, which was directed by Siruthai Siva, and the 2021 Diwali release didn’t do well as expected. So, Rajinikanth is keen on striking a tremendous hit with his next film.
