Anarkali plays a bold character in a survival thriller

Debutant director Sreeraj Rajendran is shooting his upcoming survival-suspense thriller in Njarakkal, which stars Anarkali Marikar, Amit Chakkalakkal, Rudra and Guru Somasundaram.
The film, titled Chance, has its script written by Joseph Augustine Kurumban and the director himself. The director tells us that the story, written by him, pans out in Kochi in a single day. Sreeraj explains, “In this film, Amit Chakkalakkal plays the character of a police officer. The film tells the story through an incident that happens just five days after he joins the force. Anarkali’s character, Izza, who is the heroine of the story, is paired opposite Rudra and her emotions bring a twist in the story. She is someone who turns bold as the situation demands, to support Rudra’s character. Izza also leads the story to the ‘anti-climax’ of the film. Hers is not a modern character in this film, unlike how we have seen her so far on the screen.”
Guru Somasundaram and Sabumon appear in characters that have negative shades in the film, which also has Alencier Ley, Hareesh Kanaran, Kichu Tellus, Bitto Davis and Chembil Ashokan in crutial supporting roles.
