Vikram Prabhu was last seen in his film ‘Taanakkaran’ which was released on OTT this month. The movie has received positive reviews and it has been critically acclaimed by many. The film was directed by debutant Tamizh, who is an associate of Vetrimaaran. Tamizh is an actor and he is well known for his role as the evil police man in Suriya’s ‘Jai Bhim’.
Taking to Twitter, actor Vikram Prabhu revealed that ‘superstar’ Rajinikanth had wished him and praised him for his performance in the movie. ‘Taanakkaran’ is the third film in which Vikram Prabhu plays the role of a cop. In this film, the story focuses on young police officials who appear for training. Vikram Prabhu plays a strong character where he raises his voice against the superiors who treat the trainees ruthlessly.
On the work front, Vikram Prabhu is awaiting the release of the magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ which is directed by Mani Ratnam. The film is scheduled for a release in theatres worldwide on September 30.
