MLA Vinay Kulkarni’s Application Seeking Entry To The District, Hearing Adjourned To January 17

The Supreme Court after hearing the petition filed by MLA Vinay Kulkarni, who sought entry to Dharwad district, issued a notice to CBI. The hearing was adjourned to January 17.  Vinay Kulkarni,  who is a representative of the people, had sought permission to enter Dharwad. Earlier, when the election was contested, the Supreme Court had refused to grant permission to enter Dharwad. 

Vinay Kulkarni has been restricted from entering Dharwad due to the possibility of destruction of evidence related to the murder case of Yogeesh Gowda, the leader and member of Zilla Panchayat.   Although Kulkarni has petitioned the Court many times for admission, he is not getting permission. In the recently held hearing, the application seeking relaxation of the condition was made by Ny. M. Nagaprasanna was dismissed by a single member bench of the High Court.The condition was not relaxed even when an application was filed in the Supreme Court. Even during the election, permission to visit the field was denied. MLA Vinay Kulkarni has already been accused of influencing witnesses.
