The union minister for state for Jal Shakti Shri Prahlad Singh Patel visited IISc to understand the ‘efforts that are being undertaken for capacity building’ the area of Dam safety under the central water commission. Prof. VV Srinivas and Prof Ananth Ramaswamy from Civil Engineering and Prof Govindan Rangarajan Director IISc met with the minister to explain the developments taking place due to the ministry’s financial support to the Institute under the Dam Rehabilitation implementation program. The minister was accompanied by a team of officials led by Dr Pramod Narayan Director DRIP program in the central water and commission.
