Members of Parliament from the BJP have advised Our Metro to construct a traveler to integrate the underground metro station currently under construction at Bambu Bazar with the Bangalore Cantonment (Dandu) railway station and the South Western Railway station platforms. Bengaluru Central MP, PC Mohan, personally visited the site and inspected the ongoing construction work related to the redevelopment of the Cantonment Railway Station. During his visit, he recommended to the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) that they should construct a traveler to facilitate the connection between these two stations. MP PC Mohan has shared a verification video of his visit on social media. Earlier, the decision was made to shift the underground metro station location from Cantonment to Bambu Bazar. At the time, BMRCL officials had pledged to construct an elevator to link the metro and railway stations. As per the promise made by the Metro authorities, a comprehensive plan for building the traveler should be implemented. BMRCL has proposed the construction of a 250-meter skywalk to provide connectivity between the metro and railway stations. However, it is believed that simply building a skywalk may not suffice. Therefore, BMRCL Managing Director Anjum Parvez has stated that a study will be conducted to explore the feasibility of establishing a traveler between the metro station and the suburban railway station.
