Former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that the Prime Minister has implemented the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana to provide loans for the promotion of various traditional skills including the uplift of the Vishwakarmas. He participated in a function organised by the Karnataka Virata Vishwakarma Mahotsav and an award ceremony held at Ravindra Kalakshetra here and presented awards to the achievers. On behalf of the Vishwa Karma Seva Foundation, Bommai said Vishwakarma is the creator of human civilization. The man was a solitary creature. Everything from food to kayaks to the transformation of man has been given by Vishwa Karmas. They are present in the whole universe. If Vishwa Karma had not made God’s image, God’s form would not have existed. Vishwakarma has done the work of giving an unimaginable shape to God. Vishwakarma does the work of creating God for the society. Vishwakarma has been placed at the lower level of society but he must be kept above. He said in a country where there is no value for culture and tradition, that country has no respect. Art is a boon given by God to Vishwakarma. Only Vishwakarma has the art of identifying the quality of gold. Vishwakarma knows a lot of art but does not claim it. Your art should be about skill. The community youths should become IAS and IPS officers. Bommai said he had announced in the budget Rs 50,000 for people involved in around fifty crafts and had implemented this loan-cum-subsidy scheme. Many people think that only the rich can grow the economy. However, the economy grows only when the lower level of workers. The work of Vishwakarma will be alive as long as the world exists.
