After Kuwait, ‘Beast’ gets banned in Qatar

Must read

Vijay’s ‘Beast’ has grabbed the attention of cinephiles as the film is slated for release on April 13th. The action drama has got a record number of screens all over, and it’s going to be the biggest release for Vijay. But after Kuwait, now Vijay’s ‘Beast’ gets banned in one more country. ‘Beast’ deals with terrorism, and the film also has several action sequences. The film has reportedly stereotyped Muslims as terrorists, and it was condemned by the TN Mulsim association. Earlier, the Kuwait government banned ‘Beast’ to release in their territory as it portrayed Muslims as terrorists and it has a few dialogues against Pakistan. Now, the Qatar government has reportedly banned the film from release in their region pointing out the same reason.
The back-to-back bans for ‘Beast’ have disappointed the fans. Though the ban in Kuwait might not affect the film’s box office to a major aspect, the ban in Qatar might affect the film’s collections in the GCC region as it’s the second-largest territory of the region. Meanwhile, ‘Beast’ certified PG 15 in the other GCC region UAE, Bahrain, and Oman, while KSA censorship it to happen tomorrow on Monday.
‘Beast’ features Vijay as a RAW agent with Pooja Hegde, Selvaraghavan, Shine Tom Chack, Yogi Babu, Aparna Das, Sathish, and Redin Kingsley in supporting roles. Three songs delivered by Anirudh Ravichander have been well received by the fans and the bookings for the pan-Indian release is going strong.
