An Update On Our Metro ‘Blue’ Route Connecting The Airport

Our metro network is expanding in Bengaluru city. At present, trains are plying only on purple and green lines in the city. The work of yellow and blue route is going on. The new route will be open for commercial traffic by December this year. Manjula Arvind Limbavali, BJP MLA from Mahadevpur Assembly Constituency has given an update on our Metro ‘Blue’ route. This route will connect the Outer Ring Road, promising to reduce vehicular traffic congestion. The MLA said on his Facebook page that the stations are being built in the Lego brick style using precast units to avoid delays in the construction of our metro stations. MLA’s Facebook post reads, Civil works on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) metro line have picked up pace and many works are going on 24*7. He informed that the construction activities are being carried out at night to minimize the impact on traffic. My heartfelt thanks to BMRCL, AFCONS and SNC teams for taking such proactive steps to expedite metro construction works and resolve traffic issues. I also appreciate the efforts of the BTP teams of various traffic police stations who are intervening to manage the traffic congestion problems on the roads every day.
