Annadaneshwar PU College in Gajendragad held the Virat-2026 programme to welcome first year PUC students and start social activities on Friday. Chairman Veeraiah V Vastra said students must develop a strong desire for achievement and build regular study habits to succeed in life. He told students not to give up after making decisions and to keep working continuously and follow teachers lessons with understanding and focus.
Basavanthappa Hosalli Principal of Government Degree College said students should set clear goals and work hard with dedication honesty and discipline. He added that mental strength and good planning help students achieve success and that big goals bring out their full potential.
S G Keshannavar said students should aim for big goals as they build confidence and encourage hard work and self belief. Academic advisor B S Gowda said students need good morals and culture along with education for a better life.
The programme also honoured teachers and achievers and officials and students participated with enthusiasm and unity in the event. Vasantrao Garagi principal of Annadaneshwar PU College gave the introductory speech and welcomed all guests and students warmly.
Several dignitaries were felicitated including Basavanthappa Hosalli S G Keshannavar and lecturer Chandru M Rathod for academic achievement. Members of the governing bodies and education institutions attended the programme and supported the event at Gajendragad college campus.
Speakers stressed that students should balance education with values and culture to become responsible citizens. They said discipline and clear goals will help students succeed in future life and contribute to society.
