MUNICH
Paris Saint-Germain has secured a spot in their second consecutive UEFA Champions League final after a tense battle against Bayern Munich. Despite a 1-1 draw in the second leg, the French giants advanced with a thrilling 6-5 total score across both matches.
PSG started with lightning speed, scoring just three minutes into the game. Ousmane Dembele found the back of the net after a perfect pass from teammate Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. This early goal put heavy pressure on Bayern, who spent the rest of the match desperately searching for a way back. The German side felt cheated when the referee denied their loud appeals for a penalty after a close-call handball in the box.
Throughout the match, both goalkeepers performed heroics. Manuel Neuer made several brilliant saves to keep Bayern in the hunt, while PSG’s Matvey Safonov blocked a dangerous shot from Jamal Musiala. Bayern’s star striker Harry Kane finally scored late in the second half with a powerful strike, marking his 14th goal of the tournament. However, his effort came too late to change the final outcome.
Under the guidance of coach Luis Enrique, PSG showed a new level of defensive toughness to hold off Bayern’s late attacks. The defending champions will now travel to Budapest for a massive final showdown against Arsenal. After winning the trophy last season, the Parisians are now just one win away from keeping their crown as the kings of Europe.
