Kalaburagi
A tragic incident was reported from Jevargi taluk where a student drowned while swimming in the Bhima River.
The deceased has been identified as Lalasab Sardar Patel (19), a second-year PUC student of Kadamba PU College in Jevargi. According to police, Lalasab had gone to the Bhima River along with his friends for a swim. During the outing, he was caught in a strong water current and drowned. Despite efforts, he could not be rescued in time.
The incident occurred near Handanoor village in Jevargi taluk, leaving family members and locals in shock. Police officials stated that a case has been registered at the Jevargi Police Station and further investigation is underway.
