Davanagere

Prabha Mallikarjun, Member of Parliament from Davanagere, has urged the central government to take immediate steps to address the ongoing LPG shortage affecting people across the country.

The MP joined a protest held at the Parliament House New Delhi on Thursday along with Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, General Secretary of the Indian National Congress. The protest was organized to demand quick action from the central government so that citizens can get relief from the shortage of cooking gas.

During the demonstration, MPs raised slogans and held placards highlighting the LPG crisis. Some placards criticized the government’s earlier claims about reducing dependence on foreign sources of energy and questioned the current shortage faced by consumers.

Prabha Mallikarjun said the shortage of LPG cylinders has created serious difficulties for ordinary families. She said many people are standing in long queues to get cooking gas cylinders, while several households are struggling to manage their daily cooking needs.

She also alleged that the situation has worsened during the tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and that people across the country are facing problems due to the lack of timely supply.

According to the MP, citizens are expecting immediate solutions rather than explanations. She urged the government to take urgent measures to ensure adequate supply of LPG cylinders and reduce the burden on common people.

Several MPs from the INDIA Alliance also participated in the protest and demanded quick action from the central government to resolve the LPG crisis and provide relief to households across the country.
