Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar lashed out saying Kumaraswamy is an empty-chested person who is making unfounded criticisms about the conversion of B-account properties in Bengaluru to A-account.
Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar spoke to the public during the Bangalore Walk program held at Cubbon Park on Sunday.
At this time, a citizen said that it is a good thing that the government is converting all properties into A Khata. Many people have been waiting for this conversion for many years, welcoming and openly praising the government’s decision.
Responding to this, the DCM said, A Khata is your property record. Correcting the property records of the public and providing them to the people is the sixth guarantee of our government. For this, we have asked them to pay only 5 percent development fee. Thank you to conscious citizens like you for welcoming this.
DCM DK Shivakumar, during his walk in Cubbon Park on Sunday, paid homage to the statues of Chamaraja Wodeyar, the former ruler of the Mysore State, and Seshadri Iyer, the former Diwan.
The state government has allowed B account holders to get A accounts under the Greater Bangalore Authority (GBA) jurisdiction. This permission will be limited to 100 days only. A few days ago, D.K. Shivakumar had said that this decision will benefit 15 lakh people.
Speaking after inaugurating the software for land conversion, he said that it has been decided to convert B-khata sites under GBA to A-khata and to provide A-khata to new sites as well. There are 25 lakh property khatas in the city. Out of these, about 7.5 lakh are B-khata owners. There are 7 to 8 lakh properties whose sites have not been approved and B-khata has not been made. The government’s historic decision will benefit 15 lakh people. He said this is our sixth land guarantee.
