Beneficiaries receiving unemployment allowance under the Yuvanidhi scheme will be provided with skill development and entrepreneurship training as per the job requirements. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) BT Kumaraswamy called on all Yuvanidhi beneficiaries to register through the Kaushalkar portal without fail to avail the benefits of this training.
He spoke while presiding over the progress review meeting of the District Skill Mission Committee held at the city’s Deputy Commissioner’s office hall on Wednesday.
Even after registering for skill training, there is no problem for the beneficiaries to get unemployment allowance for the stipulated period. Steps are being taken to provide employment to 70 percent of the candidates who have received the training. Therefore, Yuvanidhi beneficiaries should register through the Kaushalkar portal www.kaushalkar.com/app/registration_verify. Additional Deputy Commissioner BT Kumaraswamy instructed the District Skill Development Officers to conduct extensive publicity in this regard in all the first-grade and polytechnics in the district.
District Skill Development Officer Vemanna informed the meeting that if the candidates do not register, the unemployment allowance of the candidates will be stopped.
Deputy Secretary of the District Magistrate Dr Rangaswamy said, an order has been issued to form 8 sub-committees to complement the District Skill Mission for the effective implementation of the Prime Minister’s Skill Development Scheme
District Labour Officer Anil Bagate, Lead Bank Manager Raghavendra, Employment Exchange Officer Ravindra and other officials were present in the meeting.
A total of 7,376 beneficiaries, including 7,226 graduates and 150 diploma trainees, are receiving unemployment allowance under Yuvanidhi in the district. The mobile numbers of all these beneficiaries are available and bulk messages will be sent to register for skill training. It is mandatory for those who have already received unemployment allowance for six months to register for skill training.
