MLA stressed planned development and efficient work completion; residents hope projects improve roads, drainage, and quality of life
Hanagal
MLA Srinivas Mane has announced that each village in Hanagal taluk will receive Rs. 50 lakh for development of basic infrastructure. He said the funds will be used for road construction, drainage systems, and other essential public facilities to improve living conditions in rural areas.
He made the announcement while performing the groundbreaking ceremony for development works worth Rs. 62 lakh in Kadashettihalli village. The MLA said that road development within villages was earlier expected to be carried out under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, but funds have now been made available separately since last year.
He also stated that in the previous year, grants of up to Rs. 1 crore were released to each village in the taluk, which helped complete several development projects. He expressed confidence that the new funds will further boost infrastructure and improve connectivity in the region.
Local leaders and officials attended the event and welcomed the initiative. Among those present were Taluk GART Implementation Committee President Vijayakumar Doddamani, KPCC member Takanagowda Patil, Block Congress leaders Hanumanthappa Maragadi and Manju Gorannavara, along with several community leaders and residents.
The MLA emphasized the importance of planned development and said all works should be completed efficiently for the benefit of the public. Residents expressed hope that the projects will address long-standing issues related to roads and drainage in their villages and improve overall quality of life in the taluk.
