Sri Rambapuri Jagadguru says divine grace is essential for a prosperous and meaningful human life in Shivamogga.
Shivamogga
True prosperity in life can be achieved only with divine grace, said Sri Rambapuri Dr. Veerasomeshwara Jagadguru of Balehonnur while addressing a religious gathering held in Shivamogga.
He was speaking at a public awareness and religious ceremony organised in connection with the inauguration, consecration, and “kalasharohana” of the newly constructed Pashupatinath Panchamukhi temple near the Sri Veerashaiva Cultural Bhavan.
The Jagadguru said that humans must never forget God and death in life. He emphasized that a peaceful and meaningful life becomes possible only when one overcomes hatred and practices forgiveness. According to him, spiritual awareness is essential for personal growth, and true spirituality lies in aligning thoughts, words, and actions.
He highlighted the teachings of Sri Jagadguru Renukacharya, stating that the foundational principles of Veerashaiva Dharma continue to guide society towards enlightenment. He also appreciated the Veerashaiva Kalyana Mandira for its constructive social and cultural contributions and expressed happiness over the beautifully constructed temple.
The programme was inaugurated by MP B. Y. Raghavendra, who said that modern civilization should not erase human values. He noted that balanced living is possible when knowledge and conduct go hand in hand. He also appreciated the efforts of Sri Rambapuri Jagadguru in spreading religious awareness through continuous travel and spiritual guidance.
Former MP Ayanur Manjunath remarked that the establishment of the Pashupatinath Panchamukhi Shiva temple in Shivamogga, outside Nepal’s Kathmandu, is a matter of pride. Several religious leaders, political representatives, and community figures participated in the event.
The ceremony concluded with honours to donors who contributed to the temple construction, followed by a community meal (annadana).
