Teachers Shape the Nation’s Future: Gurubasava Pattadevaru

Teachers play a vital role in shaping the future of the nation, said Gurubasava Pattadevaru at a felicitation programme held in Bhalki. He was speaking during an event organized on the occasion of Basavanna Jayanti, Vachana Jatra–2026, the 37th memorial of Dr. Channabasava Pattadevaru, and the Amruta Mahotsava of Nadoja Dr. Basavalinga Pattadevaru, where 75 teachers were honoured for their service.

“Teachers lay the strong foundation for nation-building. Just as soldiers protect the borders, teachers contribute to the country by nurturing responsible and capable citizens,” he said. He also expressed deep respect for the teaching profession and noted that honouring teachers in line with the ideals of revered personalities is a matter of pride.Rajeshwara Shivacharya, who graced the event, said that teachers are like guiding gurus, and the future of children is shaped through their mentorship and values.

The programme was presided over by Dr. Dakshayani Tai. Among those present were Shivananad Mahaswami of Saygaon, Channamalla Mahaswami of Hudgi, Basavaraj Deshmukh, Anil Sindhe, Uma Khandre, Sharad Maharudrappa Sirse, L.G. Gupta, Santosh Khandre, Sidramayya Swami, Sanjukumar Jante, Mallikarjun Halmadage, Somanath Mudva, Rohit Vairage, Vinod Jagtap, Mahesh Dhannure, Sudhir Naik, Vasant Patil, Kashinath Chalva, Subhash Hulasur, Tippanna Shivapure, and several others. The programme was compered by Chandrakant Bigagar, while Premalata Shivarudrayya Swami delivered the vote of thanks.
