IBS Bengaluru Celebrates Second Convocation Ceremony

IBS Business School, ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Kengeri, celebrated its second convocation on Friday, awarding degrees to 451 students, including 409 MBA and 42 BBA graduates. The ceremony also recognized meritorious students with medals and cash prizes for outstanding academic performance.

Delivering the convocation address, Dr. K.V. Raju, Member of the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council and Economic Advisor to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, urged students to contribute significantly toward India’s goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047, targeting a $30 trillion economy. He emphasized the importance of public–private partnerships and multidimensional efforts to boost GDP growth. Highlighting Uttar Pradesh’s role in national development, he noted the state’s district-level GDP initiatives and the development of 84 new townships as examples of transformative planning.

Gopal Krishna G.S.S., Business Unit Head at Tata Consultancy Services, stressed integrating technology and social sciences in society, noting AI’s growing influence across sectors such as healthcare and the increasing relevance of lifelong learning.

Prof. Dr. Koti Reddy, Chancellor of IFHE, highlighted the institution’s supportive environment for knowledge creation and industry-relevant innovation, while Vice-Chancellor Dr. Muddu Vinay urged students to utilize their education for the country’s progress. The event was also attended by Registrar Dr. Vijayalakshmi, Kamesh Gupta, Director of Carelon Global Solutions India, and other dignitaries.

The convocation marked a milestone for IBS Bengaluru, showcasing its commitment to academic excellence and preparing graduates to contribute meaningfully to India’s socio-economic development.
