Agniveer recruitment rally concludes in Vijayapura

District administration made elaborate arrangements to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the Agniveer recruitment rally.

Young aspirants seeking to join the Indian Army should pursue their goal with sustained hard work, physical fitness and discipline, said Colonel Somu at the valedictory ceremony of the Agniveer recruitment rally held in Vijayapura.

The rally was jointly organised by the Mangaluru Army Recruiting Zone and the district administration at the Dr BR Ambedkar District Stadium. Candidates from 11 districts participated in the recruitment process.

Colonel Somu said candidates should not become discouraged if they fail to achieve their goal in their first attempt. With renewed determination, regular physical training and discipline, they can fulfil their dream of joining the Army, he said.

He described joining the Indian Army as an important opportunity to serve the nation and appreciated the discipline, enthusiasm and physical fitness displayed by the participating youth.

He congratulated candidates who qualified in the online entrance examination and subsequently cleared the physical and medical tests. He wished them success in the remaining stages of the recruitment process.

Colonel Somu also expressed gratitude to the Police, Health, Municipal Corporation, Youth Empowerment and Sports departments and other government agencies for their cooperation in conducting the rally.

The district administration had made comprehensive arrangements for the candidates, including accommodation, drinking water, medical facilities and security. Officials and staff involved in providing these facilities were felicitated with mementos during the valedictory ceremony.

The Army officer appreciated the coordinated efforts of various departments in ensuring that the recruitment process was conducted smoothly and without inconvenience to the candidates.

The participation of youth from 11 districts reflected their interest in serving the country through the armed forces. The officials also emphasised the importance of maintaining physical fitness and discipline while preparing for future recruitment opportunities.

Deputy Director of the Department of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement Vinay Kumar Patil, District Sports Officer Rajshekhar Dhaivadi and senior officials from various departments were present.
