Prescilla Monteiro, 81, of Moodujeppu, Kelarai, died at a private hospital on August 19 following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Gilbert Monteiro and was known as a progressive farmer and philanthropist. Prescilla maintained warm relationships with neighbours and acquaintances. She was the mother of Rohan Monteiro, Managing Director of Rohan Corporation, and is survived by three sons, three daughters and 14 grandchildren. Her mortal remains will be kept at St. Anna’s Church, Kelarai, on August 21 from 10.30 am. The Holy Eucharist will be held at 11 am, followed by funeral rites.
