On this occasion, he received complaints from the locals and expressed his condolences.

Later, he participated in the progress review meeting organized at the Taluk Office Hall regarding the drought and heavy rain in the taluk and received information from the officials and spoke.

There is information that an expert team has visited and inspected the landslide in the taluk in the past, and based on that, he instructed the Tahsildar to identify the potential landslide sites in the current days and submit a report on the emergency measures that can be taken.

Imediate steps should be taken to provide a plot and a building to provide permanent shelter to the victim Ramesh family. He instructed them to take steps to pay the rent for the next 4-6 months to stay in a rented house.

Rain gauge stations should always be kept active. Information from the rain gauge stations should be obtained and actual reports should be given. This will provide fair compensation to the farmers who have been affected by crop damage. He also directed to take strict action against those who provided wrong information and said that the information on the daily rainfall should be made available to the Gram Panchayat Development Officers and the farmers as well.

MLA Araga Gnanendra said, the amount released by the government for the control of leaf spot disease, which is a threat to the areca crop, is insufficient and more should be released. The work undertaken under the Jaljeevan Mission project is progressing slowly. It should be accelerated further.

Sub-Divisional Officer Satyanarayana, Ratnakarshetru, Tahsildar Ranjith and officials from various departments of the taluk were present.
