Swift Relief Promised

Bageshwar

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday visited Kapkot in Bageshwar district to review the situation in disaster-hit areas and meet affected families. He assured them that the state government would provide every possible form of relief and support.

Sharing his visit on social media, Dhami wrote, “A ground inspection of the disaster-affected area was conducted, and I directly interacted with families to assure them of complete assistance.” He further directed officials not to show any negligence in relief or rehabilitation work. “Relief must reach every family swiftly, the process must remain transparent and timely, and no needy person should be left out,” the Chief Minister said.

Dhami emphasized that his government is working with sensitivity and responsibility to help people. Local MLA Suresh Garia also joined him during the visit.

Earlier this week, the Chief Minister inspected flood-affected regions in Haridwar district, particularly areas in Laksar hit by waterlogging and land erosion. He assured families there that all required supplies were being provided. “We are with all the disaster-affected people. The government is on alert round the clock,” he told reporters.

Dhami also announced measures to prevent future crises, including elevating roads in flood-hit zones and implementing relocation programs where necessary. “The administration is working in coordination with all departments to ensure safety and rehabilitation,” he added.

The Chief Minister’s visits underline the government’s focus on prompt relief distribution, rehabilitation, and long-term infrastructure planning to safeguard communities from repeated disasters.
