Savita Samaj protests against C.T. Ravi’s remark

A protest was held by the District Savita Samaj (R) and the Bangalore South District Backward Castes Maha okkuta (R) against Legislative Council member C.T. Ravi for using the word Ajama, a banned word of the Savita Samaj.

On Tuesday, in the city’s Ijoor Circle, the President of the Savita Samaj Development Corporation M. S. Muthuraj, led by the District President of the Backward Castes Maha okkuta, Raid Nagaraju, staged a protest and shouted slogans against C.T. Ravi.

Addressing the protesters, the District President of the Backward Castes Maha Okkuta, Raid Nagaraju, said that C.T., who had used derogatory words against the relatives of the Savita Samaj who play the Mangalavadya for any auspicious event, should be punished.  They demanded that a case of caste abuse be registered against Ravi and that he immediately apologize to the relatives of Savita Samaj.

Savita Samaj Development Corporation President M. S. Muthuraj said that it is condemnable that C.T. Ravi, as a public representative, spoke derogatorily about a society, and demanded that he immediately withdraw his statement and publicly apologize to Savita Samaj.

Srinivas, Vice President Munikrishna, Magadi Taluk President Suresh, Kanakapura Taluk President Srinivas, Channapatna Taluk President R.P.  Lokesh, Janardhan, president of the youth wing of the Mahabandha of Backward Castes, Shruti, Manjula, Anita of the women’s wing, Srinivas, president of Harohalli Taluk, leaders Venkatesh, Ravikumar, Praveen, Vinu Shivanand, Ramesh, Govind Raju, Bharat and others participated.
